Rename Selected Notes People dialog box
Use the rename functionality to make changes to a user's common name. Because a hierarchical name is considered part of the user's common name, any changes to a user's hierarchy affect the common name as well.

Changing a user name can affect both the primary and alternate name information. To use Domino's alternate name functionality, Domino R5.0.2 or later must be running on all servers involved with the name change, the user's workstation, and the administrator's workstation.

Upgrade to Hierarchical

Click this option to change user names from flat to hierarchical.

Change Common Name

Click this option to change a user's primary or alternate name information. You can also use this option to delete an alternate name, and to synchronize any name changes with the corresponding Windows NT account.

Request Move to New Certifier

Use this option to move a user to a different hierarchical name organization. By "renaming" the user, you have effectively moved the user into that hierarchy. This option does not physically move the user's mail files; use the Move tool on the People & Groups tab to move mail or roaming files.

Change Web User Name

Use this option to change a Web user's name, and have the Administration Process implement those changes.

Honor old names for up to <x> days

The default is 21 days, but you can change this as needed.
